शिरूर (अरूणकुमार मोटे): शिरूर शहरात शिक्षण घेणाऱ्या १७ वर्षीय अल्पवयीन मुलीने तरुणाच्या त्रासाला कंटाळून गळफास घेऊन आत्महत्या केल्याची धक्कादायक घटना उघडकीस आली आहे. या प्रकरणातील आरोपी अद्याप फरार असल्याचे शिरूर पोलिसांनी सांगितले आहे.
मुलीच्या कुटुंबीयांनी शिरूर पोलीस स्टेशन येथे फिर्याद दिली आहे. पोलिसांनी प्रणव अशोक उबाळे (रा. रामलिंग रोड, शिरुर ता. शिरुर) याच्या विरुद्ध गुन्हा दाखल केला आहे.
शिरूर पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहीतीनुसार, शिरूर शहरात शिक्षण घेणारी अल्पवयीन मुलगी तिच्या मामाच्या गावी राहत असून, ती महाविद्यालयात जात असताना प्रणव उबाळे हा वारंवार भेटून तिच्याशी बोलण्याबाबत दबाव टाकत होता. मुलगी भेटण्यास व बोलण्यास नकार देत होती. यामुळे प्रणव याने तू शिक्षण घेत असलेल्या शाळेत तसेच शाळेबाहेर तुझी बदनामी करेल अशी धमकी देखील दिली. हा त्रास असह्य झाल्याने तीने गळफास घेऊन आत्महत्या केली. पुढील तपास शिरूर पोलीस स्टेशनच्या महिला पोलीस उपनिरीक्षक माधुरी झेंडगे करत आहेत.
शाळकरी व कॉलेज शिकणाऱ्या मुली, महिला शिरूर शहरात पुर्णपणे सुरक्षित नसल्याचे दिसून येत आहे. शिरूर शहर परिसरातील कॉलेज व इतर शालेय परिसरात रोड रोमियांचा चांगलाच धुमाकुळ चालू असून शिरूर पोलिसांनी आता कडक कारवाई करणे गरजेचे आहे. रोडरोमिंओवर दंडात्मक कारवाई होत असल्याने दंड भरून हे रोड रोमिओ पुन्हा मोकाट सुटत असून त्यांना प्रसाद देवून धिंड काढणे गरजेचे आहे. याबाबत आता शिरुर पोलिसांनी आता अॅक्शन मोडमध्ये येवून कडक कारवाई करावी, अशी मागणी परीसरातील महिला व नागरीकांकडून होत आहे.
